Brownsburg Game Winner

Brownsburg (Brownsburg, Ind.) won its first-ever boys’ basketball state championship when senior forward Gordon Hayward hit a miracle shot at the buzzer to beat Marion, 40-39, in the Class 4A title game.

Things didn't look good for the Bulldogs, who were trailing 39-38 with 2.1 seconds left and inbounding the ball from three-quarters court. But Austin Fish lofted a long baseball pass into the lane, and after the pass ricocheted off a Marion defender, Hayward scooped up the loose ball and flipped in a twisting leaner as time expired.
